The WADNet Post Blog is updated weekly with news submitted by readers. It’s a free service by the Wisconsin Association of the Deaf to keep members of the Deaf & hard of hearing community around Wisconsin informed on what’s happening.
While the WADNet Post is now a blog, if you wish to be notified when the blog is updated, you can still subscribe to the WADNet Post list - just follow the instructions below. The WADNet Post Editor will send a quick note letting you know that the blog has been updated. This will change soon, when RSS feeds are set up on the blog.
Editor’s Note: There is an RSS feed available on the blogsite now (orange square at top right) that you can try and see if you like how it works. This type of feed (RSS2) will let you subscribe using various sites like Google, Yahoo, and Bloglines. I have subscribed using Google - if you have your own personalized Google homepage, you can subscribe to an RSS feed then add the “widget” for the RSS feed in your Google homepage. You will see links in the widget to the new posts in the blog. I am working on setting up another type of RSS feed that will send you an email instead. Any questions? Added note on the RSS feed: If you are using Internet Explorer 6, you will find it does not show RSS feeds well. IE6 does not support RSS. You can download an RSS reader which will let you subscribe to feeds. It’s not as quick and easy as clicking on the RSS button on this screen, but after you set up the feed, you will get it. Where can you get RSS readers? Some are free, some cost money, between $20 and $40. It’s up to you which you choose. Two possible choices are below:
You can search using Google or Yahoo for “RSS Reader” to find others. RSS support is built into Internet Explorer 7, Firefox and Safari, so an RSS reader is not needed.

wadnetpost-request@freelists.org with ’subscribe’ in the Subject field.
IF YOU ARE CHANGING EMAIL ADDRESSES, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE TWO STEPS:
1) UNSUBSCRIBE from the WADNet Post by sending an email from your OLD email address to wadnetpost-request@freelists.org with ‘unsubscribe’ in the Subject field. Then
2) SUBSCRIBE to the WADNet Post by sending an email from your NEW email address to wadnetpost-request@freelists.org with ’subscribe’ in the Subject field.
TO SUBMIT ARTICLES for WADNet Posts, send an email with the information to wadneteditor@wi-deaf.org by 7pm CST Sunday night. WADNet Posts generally go out on Monday and/or Tuesday evenings each week.
